Federal’s Total Synthetic Jacket (TSJ) bullets are constructed using a soft lead core that disintegrates on contact with steel. This core is completely contained within a proprietary polymer coating that reduces barrel wear and eliminating the lead vapor that occurs when hot gasses of the propellent contact exposed lead. Federal also uses lead-free primers almost completely eliminating airborne lead particles. A softer recoil impulse is achieved by using a heavier bullet with less powder that delivers the same energy as lighter bullets with more powder. A flat nose bullet design ensures that this energy is efficiently transferred to the target. All of this technology comes together to produce a soft shooting, clean burning ammunition with the performance necessary for serious competition.
