The Stoeger Double Defense O/U (Over/Under) 12 gauge shotgun is a straightforward, tough, and dependable home defense shotgun. The Double Defense is suitable for use in close quarters defensive situations thanks to its traditional break-action and compact form. In an emergency, it’s simple to load and easy to use. This tactical over/under shotgun features two 20″ barrels with fixed IC chokes fired by a single trigger. The Double Defense is chambered for 2.75 and 3 inch shells so you can use a wide range of loads to suit your personal needs. Fast and accurate target acquisition comes through a bright fiber optic front sight seen through the slotted Picatinny top rail which can also be used to mount the optic of your choice. Two more rails, one on each side of the barrels can be used to mount weapon lights or lasers. For ease of use, the Double Defense sports a tang mounted safety and break action lever. As an added bonus the double defense is easy to break down for cleaning or compact storage. One button removes the front hand guard and the weapon comes apart by turning the action lever and separating the barrels from the rest of the firearm. This tough, tactical shotgun trims extra ounces from its weight thanks to a black synthetic forend and durable synthetic stock with a thick rubber buttpad to absorb recoil. The receiver and barrel have been given a beautiful blued finish. The Stoeger Double Defense, over/under shotgun is an impressive blend of old school practicality with modern tactical improvements.
